Officiating
All clubs are required to nominate technical officials for each session of competition. Various roles are available and no experience is necessary. When registering online through the Swimming SA website officials can nominate their preferred role.
Officials will be provided with free venue entry, however to obtain this entry they must register and bring their ticket with them on the day.
Swimming SA information for officials
Note: All Technical Officials are required to stay on pool deck for the whole session including any medal ceremonies.
Officials Uniform
- All officials are required to dress appropriately for the event. The dress code is a white top and dark bottoms.
- Appropriate footwear should also be worn – no thongs.
- Mobile phones are not allowed to be used whilst on pool deck.
- Hats are not allowed to be worn.
Training
The club offers training for potential officials several times a year. If you are interested in training for any of these roles please contact us.
All Club officials are encouraged to undertake the free General Principals and Play by the Rules online training courses.
